• Lissa will provide digital lesson notes within 6 hours of end lesson, delivered via email

• Lissa will provide expert, quality instruction. Should a student decide studying with Lissa is no longer a good fit, Lissa will refer to a new instructor if possible

• Students under age 12 must have a parent or guardian present during first 2 lessons. After initial lessons, parents may wait in lobby during lessons but may not leave the building.

• Students ages 12-17 may be dropped off and attend lessons without a parent or caretaker in the building, additional agreement to be signed. I request parent attendance to first lesson.

• Students agree to pay for lessons PRIOR to lesson time. If this is not possible for any reason, communicate ahead of time.

• Students are responsible for their personal safety in the event of illness, emergency, or natural disaster

Lissa offers lessons Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Prospective students will sign up for a no-cost introductory call where we will discuss your experience, expectations, what you are looking for in a teacher, and answer any questions. We will also discuss schedule and availability.

After the video call - I will send you a custom Calendly link which is for your lesson time (make sure you bookmark it!). Use this link to reserve your time, view my schedule ahead of time, and pay prior to your lesson.

I use Calendly in order track my availability for clean viewing for my students and to enable students to pay by card for convenience. However, it is not required! I am more than happy to accept cash or check (slightly lower cost due to card processing fees) and use text/email/calendar to reserve your time! I do not accept Venmo for lessons - if you wish to pay via online banking, Calendly will be your friend!

In general, I am very flexible and believe in building a relationship built on mutual respect of each other’s time and resources. The below policies are a general guideline, subject to my discretion based on communication, relationship, and attendance. Lessons slots will be consistent with occasional reschedules or cancellations due to performances or other gigs. Please remember that I am an independent artist and just one human!*

• If a student cancels within timeframes listed below - cost of cancelled lesson will be rolled over to next month’s tuition

• If I cancel a lesson due to schedule conflict, vacation, illness, or emergency I will offer rollover or refund, student choice

• 1 week notice required for scheduling conflicts

• 12 hours required for illness

• 1 hour notice requested for serious emergencies

• No call, no show, no refund

• 2 no call, no shows in a row without communication will result in releasing your lesson time to another student.

*Should you or your family require lesson arrangements with a responsive admin team and guaranteed weekly lessons, I would recommend inquiring at a local music school as opposed to independent teachers.

Rooted Music Collective is located inside Portland Cement Studio’s Holgate Annex, room 26. Address is 4610 SE 26th Ave off of Holgate. The building is locked and secured. Upon arrival, text (971)-202-9016, I will meet you outside. Do not text more than 5min before appointment.

There is a community seating area at the front where parents or partners may wait during lessons (see general agreement).
